- Research the cheapest place to do groceries or shopping. (e.g. My research in Leuven: Match is cheaper to buy meat but expensive vegies, Colruyt is cheaper to buy almost everything but it is quite far from my place, Aldi is cheaper to buy milk and snacks, Zeeman is cheaper to buy cleaning liquids or stuff, Action is cheaper to buy room stuff or accessories (mirror, lamp, etc) but far from my place.)
- Find Part -Time Jobs! (e.g. I prefer to do babysit for 10 euro/hour in Belgium (flexible with my study schedule))
- Have BF’s (Best Friend or even a Boy Friend) to share the costs for some stuff or dinner or etc.
- Meet up group Platform is the nice way to meet people (sometimes you can have free food or drink events, free parties, free entrance museums, free dance classes, and seminars)
- Transportation Abbonements(Usually it is cheaper for young people below 26 than adults). I got 2 abonnements for a year (bus:57 Euros(card+ De Lijn Routes) and Train:150 Euros(card+ Hasselt and Leuven Routes))
- If it is not too much hassle, I can use my bus card to go to the Airport in Belgium. It will take about an hour. The nicest thing is that I paid already for the abonnement so I don’t have to pay any more.
- Download book in PDF format
- Download Pdf Slides lecture
- Sign Up ZeroCopy
- Upload your pdf
- Print in Zerocopy nearby
- Additional (you can laminate papers (2-4 euros)
- Borrow books in library
- Buy a hole punch and cover sheet for paper in Action (it was very cheap).
- You can also buy a long thin rope to gather your hole papers together.
